How to add a new user in Google Analytics

Hey everyone, my name’s Yeshmin, and today I’m just going talk you through how to add a new user in Google Analytics. So, you want to sign into Google Analytics, and then on the bottom left side on the page, you want to click admin and navigate to the desired account property or view. So, from here we are just going to navigate down to user management to bring us to this page. Then on the top right-hand corner, you will see a little plus sign, you just want to click that one.

Now, that will give us two options. Add new users or add new groups. We want to add new users. So, you just want to type in the email address of the user you would like to give access to. Note that users are identified by the email addresses, and you can only add users whose email addresses are registered in Google accounts. Now, we would like to notify users by email, so we will keep that box ticked. Then select the permissions you want. So, you can select to allow them to edit, collaborate, read and analyse. Generally, you will want to click edit and collaborate as well.

From here we are going to, in the top right-hand corner, click on add. And we’re done, and that’s how you add a new user in Google Analytics!
